![]() In today’s Gospel Jesus orders the crowd to sit down. He then takes seven loaves of bread and a few fish, gives thanks, breaks the bread, and has the disciples distribute the food to the people. Then Matthew tells us, “They all ate and were satisfied. “ Some, perhaps cynically, have suggested that the real miracle was that Jesus got people to share. Maybe our Advent call today is to do both: to see Jesus in the breaking of the bread and in all of the other miracles that surround us AND to share with those in need. Take time today to go to mass, to ponder and give thanks for the miracle of life and to share what you have with those who have less. Photo by Kate Remmer on Unsplash
